From your hotel in Agra
You will be picked up from your hotel in the morning and driven to the National Chambal Sanctuary situated at a distance of 90 miles from Agra. The drive to the sanctuary takes around three hours. En-route, stop at the town of Bateshwar, known for its series of Lord Shiva temples on the banks of the River Yamuna. Some of the temples date back to the 12th century, and the main temple contains thousands of brass bells. Of the original 101 temples, only 42 remain now.
From Bateshwar you will be driven to the National Chambal Sanctuary. On arrival you will be joined by a trained naturalist who will escort, a 3-4 hours Jeep Safari through low-lying wetland areas north of the Yamuna for spotting Sarus Cranes and other wetland birds.
The 17th century Fort Ater is situated on the banks of the River Chambal. With its terraced pavilions, ornate cupolas and labyrinthine passages, the Fort is an architectural marvel. Once your tour will be finished you will be driven back to fixed point / your hotel.
