In the morning, our chauffeur will pick you up from your hotel in Bangalore and drop you at the airport for your flight to New Delhi. You will be met on your arrival at Delhi airport and driven to Agra that is situated at a distance of 265 miles from Delhi. The drive to Agra takes around 5 hours. Upon arrival check-in to your hotel. Overnight stay in Hotel Atulyaa or similar hotel.
In the Evening, if time permitting visit Mehtab Bagh — a garden designed by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan to view the Taj Mahal, a monument to the memory of love. Your romantic encounter is further enhanced by the opportunity of viewing this beautiful edifice in the warm glow of sunset. The garden complex is situated on the left bank of the River Yamuna opposite the Taj Mahal. From here, watch the sunset over the Taj Mahal. The Taj Mahal is regarded as one of the best examples of Mughal architecture and a symbol of the rich cultural heritage of India. It was built by the Mughal Emperor Shahjahan in memory of his beloved wife, Mumtaz Mahal, who died while giving birth to their 14th child. Made of white marble the delicate lattice work of the windows is a sight to behold. It took 22,000 artisans from all over the world to complete this monument. Following his death, Shahjahan was also laid to rest in this mausoleum
After visiting the Taj, drive to the historical Agra Fort. Built by Emperor Akbar, the fort was the primary seat of the Mughal Emperors till 1638 when the capital was shifted from Agra to Delhi. The fort has several memorable pieces of architecture - the Jahangiri Mahal (Jahangir’s Palace), Diwan-i-Aam (Hall of Public Audience), Diwan-i-Khas (Hall of Private Audience), Musamman Burj (Octagonal Tower) and Sheesh Mahal (Palace of Mirrors).
