El Tajín is a world heritage ancient city ruins with unique pyramids and ball play areas.
"Tajín" means lightning and lightning in the local Totonaka language, and is said to have been built between 600 and 700 years.
In Papantla, the town at the foot of the ruins, you can also see the religious ceremonial "Voladores" in which a person hanging upside down from a pillar up to 30 meters high descends while rotating toward the ground.
Furthermore, this area is the origin of vanilla! It is a full-scale tour that allows you to visit the local vanilla factory.
