Our Food Tour in Rome unfolds in the historic Trastevere area and will escort you among the dishes most loved by the Romans, their strong flavours and the famous wines from Lazio. We always choose the best dishes, aiming to introduce you to our traditions, suggest the best restaurants and make you live the best culinary experience ever. The tourist is guided by a "Foodie", a local "buddy" able to explain every detail of the selected restaurants, their preparations, and the relevant history/curiosities.
Do Eat Better Experience tours are a mix of high-quality gastronomy as a way of showing Italian culture and lifestyle and a walking experience together with a local friend. This is the reason why we accept small groups only: we want to focus on a genuine exchange and give to each tourist the highest attention possible.
Please, note that the tour is always run in English and Italian; other languages upon request.

Within our Rome Traditional food tour, you will have the opportunity to taste some dishes from the roman tradition. Here we meet our guests and we start the tour together.

We will pass by the Portico d'Ottavia to get to our first stop where we will taste hand-made biscuits: crunchy biscuits, with simple ingredients and an unforgettable taste! We will taste them in a old cookie's factory from 1920.

We go through Piazza Mastai to go in a century old cheese shop and taste Roman cheeses: from canestrato to ricotta laziale and pecorino.

We go on our tour through the streets of Rome...you will taste the Roman pizza: The capital’s masterpiece of street food and garnished ‘alla marinara’, with tomato and garlic. And the famous Suppli': rice ball with meat sauce or other typical garnishments such as cheese and black pepper. This is a must-try!

At the end of our tour, we have a must of roman cousine, Pasta alla carbonara: intense flavour, typical from Rome and prepared with Italian becon, pecorino cheese and black pepper. Hint: international carbonara is different from the traditional italian one! And then we'll taste Artisanal ice cream: one of the best in town prepared with natural ingredients and presented in innovative and stunning flavours. The best way of ending an actual Italian meal!
