Next, we’ll make our way through Piazza Anfiteatro, the most iconic and picturesque spot in Lucca. We’ll stroll around this uniquely shaped square, once the site of a Roman amphitheater, before heading to the next stop on our gastronomic journey.
At this characteristic stop in the heart of the walled city, we’ll indulge in a plate of Tordelli, a traditional Lucca pasta filled with meat and herbs, served in a rich, savory sauce. A true taste of the region’s culinary tradition.
As we continue our walk through the charming streets of Lucca, we’ll pass by the iconic Torre Guinigi, a medieval tower with a unique garden at its summit, offering a glimpse into the city’s fascinating history.
In this lovely square, we’ll stop to enjoy a plate of fresh, local cold cuts, perfectly complemented by a glass of red wine, as we soak in the lively atmosphere and beauty of Lucca.
On Via Buia, we’ll sample Cecina, a beloved Tuscan street food made from chickpea flour, served warm and savory. This iconic dish is a true local favorite!
