Negombo is one of the most famous place for fishing in Sri Lanka. Negombo fish market starts the day around 3.00 am and continues for the whole day. Fishermen meet the buyers here for their harvest. Also fish sellers come here to purchase fish at bargain prices. Also you will see the people engaged in dry fish business. A busy place. Worth visiting.

Negombo Lagoon
Negombo is an area controlled by dutch for some hundreds of years. Tunnel network built by them are still exist. Boat tour on dutch tunnel to the Negombo lagoon is one popular activity available here. You will be taken through the negombo lagoon area.
