You'll meet your guide just in front of the entrance to "Cervecería La Sureña" at the Metropol Parasol, Encarnación square, 1, s/n, 41003 Seville, Spain. The guide will be holding a sign with your name.
You'll meet your professional, kid-friendly guide right under the famous "Setas de Sevilla", a very modern architecture completely made of wood that gives shade to the enormous square Encarnación.
Engaging the whole family with interesting facts and kid-friendly activities, you'll visit the Alfalfa district, part of the historical city of Seville. Here you'll see the ruins of a Roman Forum and stroll through many narrow streets, see the many bars, orange trees and other typical views of the city of Seville.
Crossing Salvador square you can admire the outside of the wonderful Church Divino Salvador, a must during your stay in Seville. The place, where the Church is built, was first covered by a mosque, that had been reconvented to a Christian Church after the reconquest of Seville. Today the square is one of the most important places for the social life of the abitants of Seville.
You'll then visit another very important square of this wonderful city: Plaza de San Francisco. Once a fish market was hold here, today it's the reunification of two different places and you can see the City Hall. Don't miss the interesting stories your guide will tell you about this square, where some of the main events of the Holy Week take place.
The Cathedral of Seville is the biggest Gothic Church in Spain, and together with the Alcázar and the Archivo de Indias it's a Unesco World Heritage Site. Your guide will point out the parts of the Antique Mosque, still visible in the building of the Church.
You definitely can't miss the famous Real Alcázar of Seville, the royal Palace of Seville. Your guide will waken your interest for this wonderful building and its history, so, after the tour you can come back with you kids to go inside and discover all the details about this important Palace.
The third part of the Unesco World Heritage Site is the Archivo General de Indias - this building is completely made out of Stone and marvellous to look at also just from the outside. It houses a collection of all the documents regarding the History of the Spanish Empire and their relationship with America and the Philippines.
You'll then walk along the river Guadalquivir from where you'll have wonderful, panoramic views over the district of Triana with its numerous bars and the little bridges of the river. You'll also see the "Torre del Oro", an eye-catching Arabic tower, once part of the defense-system of the city.
Your family-friendly tour finishes in the colourful Espana Square, a wonderful square, loved by young and old alike, built for the Ibero-American Expo in 1929. It's a celebration of the conquers made by the Spanish Empire and shows in little niches important traditions of the major Spanish cities and Colonies.
