A fun family day in Fiji! South Sea Island is perfect for families with small children! If you would like a short trip out to South Sea Island to suit the kids, then this is the cruise for you.
In just 30 minutes you'll be at South Sea Island where you can spend two hours and be back at Port Denarau in time for lunch. In the two hours, you can see the stunning underwater world of the Marine Sanctuary that surrounds the island with its colourful coral and magnificent fish life. You don't even have to get wet as we'll take you to view all this in our semi-submersible vessel. You sit beneath the surface viewing the coral and fish through large panoramic windows. The kids might even find Nemo!!
After this fascinating trip you can spend some time ashore relaxing, kayaking, swimming or snorkeling.
The tour includes vessel transfer and hotel pick up and drop off from most of the Nadi/Denarau hotels.

Meeting and pickup
Please note that the departure time shown on your tour is the VESSEL DEPARTURE TIME FROM PORT DEANRAU, NOT YOUR COACH PICK UP TIME. If you require a hotel pick up, please select your hotel from the list of pick-up points in your booking process. The coach pickups commence approximately 75minutes before the vessel departs from Port Denarau. Please check with our reservations team for your coach pickup time or refer to the South Sea Cruises coach timetable on our website for more info.
South Sea Cruises check-in counter is situated in the passenger terminal at Port Denarau. Upon entry to the terminal, you’ll see the South Sea Cruises kiosk and we recommend you check in 30 minutes prior to departure.
What to expect
With 1.5 to 2 hours on the island, there’s plenty to see and do. Snorkel in the crystal-clear waters, relax on the beach, or take a ride in the semi-submersible submarine for a fascinating view of the underwater world. You’ll also have complimentary access to all non-motorised water sports equipment, including snorkelling gear, stand-up paddle boards, and kayaks. There’s even a saltwater swimming pool if you just want to cool off and unwind.
While you're soaking in the sun, enjoy complimentary local beer, house wine, soft drinks, and water – all included during your time on the island.

- In the event of adverse weather and sea conditions, we retain the right to cancel all water-based activities, including snorkeling, paddleboarding, kayaking, and the Subsea Adventure in our semi-submersible.
- Please bring swimsuit, towel, protective clothing from the sun including a hat and sunblock, light jacket or sweater during the cooler months, money or credit card for optional purchases, your camera and sense of fun!
