Experience a 1-hour and 45-minute guided boat journey along the Río Espíritu Santo, one of Puerto Rico’s most biodiverse river systems. Often called the “Amazon of Puerto Rico,” this scenic expedition takes you through lush mangrove-lined waterways and calm estuarine waters where the river meets the Atlantic Ocean.
Along the way, guests may encounter native wildlife such as birds, iguanas, ducks, turtles, and, if conditions are favorable, manatees, caiman, and other coastal species. The route also passes the ruins of an old sugarcane train bridge, offering a glimpse into Puerto Rico’s agricultural history.
The expedition operates aboard a comfortable pontoon boat with a maximum capacity of 15 guests. A complimentary homemade empanadilla and beverage are included and served at our charming café.
