Day 1
Journey from Maun to the Wildlife Haven of Mababe

Depart Maun in the morning as we begin our scenic journey northeast toward the legendary Mababe area. Lying along the eastern fringe of the Okavango Delta and just south of the famous Savuti marshlands, the Mababe Depression is a vast, nutrient-rich landscape famous for its sweeping plains, ancient cathedral mopane woodlands, and the life-giving Khwai River system. It is an absolute haven for wildlife—especially during the dry season—drawing massive herds of elephants, buffalo, plains game, and the iconic predators that follow them, including lions, wild dogs, and leopards. We’ll pause mid-day to enjoy a delicious picnic lunch surrounded by the African bush before continuing our afternoon game drive. After an eventful day exploring these game-rich tracks, we will arrive at our private mobile camp in Mababe, where a warm campfire, a hot shower, and a freshly prepared dinner await under the stars.

Full-Day Exploration of the Mababe Depression

Wake up to the gentle sounds of the bush and enjoy a fresh cup of morning tea or coffee with rusks around the campfire before setting out at first light. Our morning game drive focuses on the cooler early hours when predators like lions, leopards, and wild dogs are most active. Later in the morning, we pause in a shaded wilderness spot to indulge in a hearty camp-prepared brunch while taking in the open landscape. After a brief midday rest, our journey continues into the heart of the Mababe Depression—a vast, nutrient-rich basin renowned for attracting enormous herds of elephants, buffalo, and migratory plains game. In the late afternoon, we transition into a golden-hour game drive, stopping at a scenic vantage point for a classic safari sundowner to toast the setting African sun. We then return to camp for a delicious chef-prepared dinner around the fire.

Day 3
Mababe to Moremi Game Reserve

Moremi Game Reserve (Pass by)
Depart Mababe after breakfast in open safari vehicles for a scenic game-viewing transfer toward Moremi Game Reserve. Entering through North Gate (Khwai), our journey doubles as an extended game drive through mopane woodlands and seasonal floodplains. We pause en route for a wilderness picnic lunch before continuing to our new mobile camp in Moremi. Arrive in the late afternoon to settle into your Meru tents, enjoy a hot bush shower, and gather around the campfire for a chef-prepared dinner under the stars.

Full Day in Moremi Game Reserve

Moremi Game Reserve
Wake up to early morning coffee, tea, and rusks before setting out on a first-light game drive to track Moremi’s active predators—including lions, leopards, and wild dogs—as well as large herds of elephants and plains game. We pause in the bush for a hearty camp brunch before returning to camp for a midday rest. In the late afternoon, we embark on a second game drive through the reserve’s riverine forests and lagoons, stopping along the wetlands for a classic safari sundowner before returning to camp for dinner.

Day 5
Moremi to the Okavango Delta

Okavango Delta
After an early breakfast, we depart camp and transfer toward the Boro Mokoro Station, the gateway to the heart of the Okavango Delta. Here, we step aboard traditional dugout canoes (mokoros) to cruise through quiet, lily-lined channels, taking in the tranquil beauty and rich birdlife of the delta. We then arrive at our secluded mobile camp, where a warm bush shower and a delicious dinner prepared by our chef await around the campfire.

Deep Delta Exploration

Okavango Delta
Rise to the tranquil sounds of the Okavango Delta as we venture into the inner channels to spot aquatic wildlife, from vibrant birdlife to sunbathing hippos and crocodiles. We stop on a secluded island for a scenic picnic lunch and a guided safari walk to explore the terrain on foot. Afterward, we board a mokoro back to camp for a refreshing midday siesta. In the late afternoon, we set out on a peaceful mokoro trip to enjoy a classic safari sundowner as the sun sets over the water. We return to camp for a delicious chef-prepared dinner.

Day 7
Farewell to the Delta & Return to Maun

Okavango Delta
Enjoy your final morning in the bush with a light breakfast and a fresh cup of coffee as the sun rises over the Okavango Delta. After packing up camp, we board our mokoros for a final peaceful glide back to the Boro station, where our vehicle transfer awaits. We take in our final views of the Botswana wilderness on the drive back to Maun, arriving in the early afternoon to drop you off at your hotel.
