In this landscaped and spacious space, which occupies the place of the old Plaza Mayor of the Muslim medina, are some of the most important buildings of the old town such as the Town Hall (former headquarters of the Provincial Militias), the Convent of La Caridad, the Convent of Poor Clares of Santa Isabel de los Ángeles, the Church of María Auxiliadora and El Castillo, a school located in the city's citadel. Although for us the most interesting building is the church of Santa Maria la Mayor, which was elevated to a collegiate church by King Ferdinand the Catholic and was built on the old mosque of the city, of which remains of the mihrab are still preserved inside. and of the wall. In addition to these remains and its past, this temple harmoniously combines the Renaissance, Gothic and Baroque style that can be seen in elements such as the two-story choir, the columns and the façade, which stands out for its original three-story gallery and a tall brick tower.

The Arab Baths, built at the end of the 13th century and located in the old Jewish quarter, next to the Guadalevín river and the Culebras stream, are the best preserved hot springs of this type in Spain and another of the most beautiful places to visit in Ronda. Following the example of Roman baths, the enclosure has a cold room, a warm room and a hot room, which were used for the purification of the bodies before entering the Medina and for the social relations of the locals. Currently the three rooms are preserved, in which the central one stands out, which has several horseshoe arches and beautiful star-shaped skylights, in addition to the entire hydraulic system and the boiler used to heat the water.

This palace, built by the Arabs in the 14th century, had a Water Mine that safely supplied water to the entire city in cases of siege, through a large waterwheel located in one of its rooms. The Christians, aware of this weakness, focused their attacks on the wheel, causing the city to surrender in a few days and turning this palace into a key place in the history of the Reconquista. During the visit to the palace, in addition to going down the interior of this impressive work of engineering until you reach the Guadalevín River, from where you will enjoy incredible views of the gorge, we advise you to walk through its beautiful gardens and observe the style House from outside. Neomudéjar, designed by the Duchess of Parcent.

Built between 1751 and 1793, this bridge, which was the highest in the world until 1839, allows you to cross the Tajo de Ronda gorge, more than 100 meters high, excavated for centuries by the Guadalevín River and which connects the old neighborhood with the new neighborhood (Flea Market). After enjoying the views from the lowest point you can go up to the Mirador del Viento and Puente Nuevo, our favorite, as it has the most complete perspective with the bridge, the waterfall and the river that runs below, in the same flat. From this viewpoint a dirt path starts that will take you even closer to the gorge, leaving you with other breathtaking views in your memory.

It has fantastic views of the Puente Nuevo. After taking a photo in front of the ceramic tile plaque that represents the love that several romantic and famous travelers felt during their time in Ronda, you can enjoy a fantastic panoramic view of the steep drop of the Tajo de Ronda, the views of the Palace of the Moorish King and the Cuenca Gardens from the Aldehuela Viewpoint.

It borders a cliff more than 100 meters high. During the tour you will enjoy incredible views of the entire natural environment that surrounds the city such as the Tajo and the Serranía de Ronda, especially from the Mirador de Ronda, located on a cliff ledge. From this viewpoint you can continue the route through the places to see in Ronda in one day, passing in front of the Plaza de Toros, one of the oldest in the country, and arriving at the Alameda del Tajo, a green space in which the busts of Orson Welles and Ernest Hemingway, two lovers of this city.
