You can experience matcha (powdered green tea).

You can make your own powdered green tea and drink it with Wagashi(Japanese sweets).

The matcha experience takes place at a temple that houses the Big Buddha, which is rare in Tokyo.

Visitors can experience matcha while looking at the Big Buddha right in front of them.

The opportunity to experience matcha at a temple is a rare and special one.

Wagashi can be changed to “Jo namagashi” (high-grade Japanese fresh confections) as an option. (Upgrade to beautiful fresh confections)

When you arrive at the temple, please stay on the grounds. We will usually pick you up 5 minutes before the meeting time. If you are not picked up more than 10 minutes after the meeting time, please call the indicated phone number.

What to expect

Participants will watch a model video(English) and then make and drink their own matcha tea.
This is a simple matcha experience, so it is easy to participate.

The staff will guide you through everything except for the instructional videos.

If you have any questions, there are lecture staff who speak simple English.

The experience is accompanied by Japanese sweets while viewing the Great Buddha, which is very rare in Tokyo.

The duration of the tour is approximately 30 to 60 minutes. (with additional options - around 80 minutes).

After the experience, those who wish to do so will offer incense to the Great Buddha. (Free of charge)

You will enter the main hall with the staff and be seated.
