Every morning at 10:30AM, we can observe a very charming breakfast feeding time, as the cats all eat together just as shown in the product image.
The Gotokuji Shopping Street is a shopping street located between Gotokuji Station, known as "Cat Town," and Gotokuji Temple. Many of the shops display Maneki-neko (beckoning cats), and we can enjoy cat-themed item store as well as sweets modeled cats.
A famous cat temple with a thousand lucky cats. Learn about the history of the Maneki-neko (lucky cat) with tour guide's explanation. Gotokuji is a Buddhist temple, and is widely recognized as the birthplace of the Maneki-neko (beckoning cat). According to legend, the temple’s cat raised its paw to gesture toward a passing samurai, which led to the samurai's good fortune and the temple’s prosperity. As a result, Gotokuji is home to many Maneki-neko statues, which are believed to bring good luck and fortune.
