To continue the adventure we will do the Mistério Novo Trail, where new discoveries and surprising landscapes are waiting you. This is a complete experience that combines adventure, flavour and natural beauty!

15 min before the tour. Pick up service included in accommodation units in the center of Angra do Heroísmo. For other locations, it is applied an extra charge.
This is our store, right in front of São Pedro church. If that is your choice, it will be the starting point for your tour.

The Mistérios Negros trail is a hiking route that offers a unique experience due to its rich natural and geological features. The name “Mistérios Negros” (Black Mysteries) comes from the solidified lava formations, known as “mistérios”, which were created by relatively recent volcanic eruptions (in geological terms) and still contrast sharply with the lush surrounding vegetation.

The Mistério Novo trail, which includes Pico do Fogo, is a route that invites exploration of landscapes shaped by volcanic eruptions and the slow process of natural regeneration. Along the way, hikers pass through areas of lush vegetation and zones where the dark, rocky soil reveals the lasting marks left by fire and lava.
