Meet at the handicap-accessible ramp entrance to the Elfin Forest on 16th Street. Park near the entrance to the Elfin forest but DO NOT park at the address listed (this address will get to the entrance. If you need to park on the street, do not block any driveways.

This diverse landscape boasts a variety of plant communities, including coastal brackish marsh, riparian woodlands, pygmy oak woodlands, maritime chaparral, and coastal dune scrub. Among its residents are rare plants, butterflies, snails, and birds, making it a haven for nature enthusiasts and wildlife lovers alike. In addition to exploring the natural wonders of the Elfin Forest, you will also learn about the area's rich local geology, including the iconic Nine Sisters and Morro Rock. The forest also holds historical significance, with evidence of the Chumash people who have lived in the area for more than 10,000 years.
