Interlaken, Switzerland

4 hours (approximately)
Offered in: German and 1 more

This is not a standardized tourism activity, but a real private mountain experience tailored to you, your pace, your goals, and the conditions on the day. Instead of following a fixed script, the hike remains flexible throughout and adapts naturally to the mountain and your preferences.

Starting directly in Interlaken, we climb step by step through forest trails to one of the most iconic viewpoints in the region. Rather than simply visiting the summit, you experience the full journey — leaving the town behind, gaining elevation, and watching the views gradually open.

Because this is a private guided hike, the experience stays personal, calm, and real — far from crowded group tours and rigid schedules.

What to expect

Join me on a private guided hike to Harder Kulm (1321 m) — the famous viewpoint above Interlaken. Starting directly in town, we leave the streets behind within minutes and climb through forest trails on one of the region's classic mountain hikes.

The trail gains elevation steadily through steep woodland paths, with a few flatter sections along the way. About halfway up, we pass a small farmhouse with a fountain — a perfect spot to refill water and rest before continuing the ascent.

Higher up, the forest opens and the first views appear between the trees. Soon we reach Harder Kulm, where spectacular panoramas unfold over Lake Thun, Lake Brienz, and the Jungfrau region — including the Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau. During the operating season, a summit restaurant makes for a great place to relax before descending.

The hike offers excellent flexibility, with trail options ranging from steeper to more moderate depending on your pace, fitness, and how adventurous you want the day to be. The historic Harderbahn funicular can also be used for the return when in operation.

Since this is a private hike, the experience stays flexible and can be adapted to you and conditions of the day.
