The limestone mountain regions of Vietnam’s north are home of the most dramatic landscapes in South East Asia. In Pu Luong, limestone peaks puncture the clouds and dramatic rice terraces overlook ethnic minority villages, home to distinct cultures that have inhabited these parts for centuries. 2 days of mixing times of walking, trekking and relaxing in one of the delightful eco-friendly style accommodations is all features in your package. You won’t find itineraries in the guidebooks so join a small group and a guide on this convenient package with four meals and accommodation included. You’ll see bamboo waterwheels, a bat cave, and a hidden village, go bamboo rafting (weather permitting), and more.
We will pick up guests at hotels in Hanoi Old Quarter Area. Please ready at your hotel lobby, our guide will come and check your name at receptionist for transfer to Pu Luong.
6h45 - 7:00 am : We will pick up guests at hotel/stays in Hanoi Old Quarter to board the bus and start the trip to Pu Luong. We will pass by Thung Khe Pass of Mai Chau Province for a spectacular view.
Arrival in Pu Luong Nature Reserve for lunch and check in. Free time to relax. Board the car to reach the starting point of the afternoon trekking. You will first pass a hanging bridge over the Cham river. You will pass through Ba village and see old traditional houses. After that, you will admire the ingenious agriculture system of the Thai ethnic minority, the bamboo waterwheels. Specific to the Thai people, the water wheels in Pu Luong are amongst the most impressive in Vietnam. The day will end by a relaxing and tranquil bamboo boat ride. Adapted for tourism, the boat is kept in use by locals to navigate and visit other houses or to go to the fields. Back to the Retreat to relax in your room or enjoy a swim in the infinity pool. Dinner in the Eco Restaurant and peaceful evening at the bar or by the pool. Overnight at private room in Pu Luong Nature Reserve.
Breakfast at the Retreat. Then start the trek to Kho Muong Village & Bat Cave. The trekking will start by a small alley nearby traditional Thai stilt houses until reaching beautiful viewpoints of the infinity rice terraces. Arriving from the top of the hill, you will slowly see the village of Kho Muong and understand how special this place is. After walking around the village, you will walk to the entrance of the cave. Possibility to visit the cave (depending on weather conditions). Back to the Retreat for check out and lunch.
Free time to enjoy the infinity pool or walk around the Retreat before boarding the bus at 3pm to come back to Hanoi Old Quarter between 19h00 to 19h30 pm.. End tour 2 days 1 night.
