What’s Loper?

Anyone can enjoy the process of hand-making a pair of shoes.
・People-friendly.
More than 90% of shoes on the market are made using glue, along with other chemicals, produce toxic fumes that contaminate the work environment.
Loper was born with a desire to improve these conditions by creating a production system that is safer and healthier for the people involved in the shoe-making process.
・Planet-Friendly
Solvent-based glues, often used in manufacturing shoes, contain a component called volatile organic compounds (VOC)
Loper does not use glues to put the uppers and the soles together, thus contributes to keeping the clean atmosphere.
Loper soles’s are made from a chlorine free material. This means it does not emit harmful dioxins during the incineration process.

What's Included
Meeting and pickup
When reservation been confirmed, I would send you detailed address for the Atelier. Approximately 15 minutes by train from Shibuya or Futakotamagawa. Nearest train station is Jiyugaoka (Tokyu Toyoko Line) or Kuhonbutsu (Tokyu Ooimachi Line) and about 7 minute walk.
What to expect
Also I’m welcome to take ready made orders (¥28,000) . Process would be same through step 4 and I would deliver to you during your stay in Tokyo.
It would be great if you could give me message after booking to let you know my availability and to arrange the start time. The link and contacts will be provided on the ticket voucher.

2. Select Sole
There are 3 types of soles.
Flat/White size 33-45
Platform/White to size 35-40
Platform/ Black to size 35-40
3. Fitting and select Size
Size 33 to 45 are available.
4. Choose materials
You can choose from Japanese-made leather, Italian leather, furs, PVC’s, tweed, ribbon lace, and antique kimono fabrics.
Also you could draw your own patterns by using paints.
5. Assemble and finish
Assemble with ropes or needle and thread.
Depending on pattern and Design you choose, it would take 3 to 8 hours to finish.
