Private Challenging Hike on Vereda da Ladeira

Hidden in the far northwest of Madeira, this trail follows an old path once used by local communities — a quiet route with wide ocean views, steep cliffs, and a raw, natural setting. It’s one of the island’s least-traveled hikes, offering true solitude with zero crowds.

The route is physically demanding, with steep and uneven sections that require good fitness and focus — but the reward is a genuine off-the-beaten-path experience in a wild coastal landscape.

Along the way, you'll move through untouched terrain where nature feels remote and timeless. The pace is adapted to your level, with pauses to enjoy the surroundings and walk with confidence.

A great choice for hikers seeking a physical challenge, silence, and a connection to one of Madeira’s most remote corners.
