Begin your full-day tour to Ninh Binh with either a handy Ninh Binh pickup or just meet at the designated spot. Admire the views from your bus as you’re driven out of the city and into the countryside. In Ninh Binh, start at the Hoa Lu Temples, where you can appreciate the Vietnamese architecture and learn more about the former ruling dynasties. Refuel with a tasty lunch at a local restaurant before heading to Tam Coc. Take a scenic boat ride and get the chance to cycle through rural villages if you’re feeling energetic—cycling is optional. Your final stop is the Mua Caves. Climb the hundreds of zig-zagging steps up to the chain of cave temples and take in panoramic views. You might feel tired after, but you can rest in the bus on the way back to Hanoi, where you’ll be dropped back at your hotel.

2Hoa Lu temples of the Dinh & Le Dynasties
Visit Hoa Lu ancient capital of Vietnam between 968 and 1010. You have a chance to learn about Vietnamese history in the feudal system under Dinh, Le and Ly Dynasty.

Tam Coc, known as “Halong Bay on the land”, where you will spend 1.5 hours on the boat to explore this area. On this excursion down the Ngo Dong River, you will pass through the beautiful paddy fields, limestone karst formation, and a stunning cave system including Hang Ca, Hang Hai, and Hang Ba caves for a unique experience.
