Meeting and pickup
The trip will embark and disembark at the Vilano Beach Public Fishing Pier. Look for the giant bluebird and dolphin arch and you will find the only floating dock towards the end of the pier on the left.

Castillo de San Marcos rises proudly along the St. Augustine shoreline. Its thick, gray coquina walls form a distinctive star shape, with angled bastions jutting out toward the bay. Watchtowers and old cannons line the ramparts. The fort’s rough stone contrasts with the shimmering waters of Matanzas Bay, where its reflection dances on calm days. The St. Augustine Lighthouse stands tall and striking against the sky. Its black-and-white spiral stripes twist up the tower, topped by a red lantern that gleams in the sunlight. Surrounded by trees, the lighthouse rises above the green canopy of Anastasia Island. Nearby, red-roofed keeper’s houses hint at the site’s long maritime history. Bridge of Lions (Pass by)
The Bridge of Lions stands as a graceful link between St. Augustine’s historic district and Anastasia Island. Its Beaux-Arts design features two impressive lion statues perched at either end, symbolizing the city’s connection to both Spain and its maritime history. The ornate bridge arches above the water, with its greenish-blue ironwork and elegant curves standing out against the skyline. As boats pass beneath the bridge, the intricate details of its structure are visible—like the decorative railings and its towering pillars.
