Plaza de Armas Our tour begins at the Plaza de Armas, the heart of Punta Arenas. Here, you’ll marvel at the historic buildings surrounding this iconic square, reflecting the economic boom from sheep farming and the introduction of sheep from the Falkland Islands, a period known as the white gold era.
Maggiorino Borgatello Museum (Salesian Museum) Next, we’ll visit the Maggiorino Borgatello Museum, a fascinating cultural space founded by the Salesian missionaries. This museum showcases an impressive collection of indigenous artifacts, regional wildlife exhibits, and historical pieces that tell the story of Patagonia’s early communities and missionary presence in the region.
Next, we’ll head to the Cerro de la Cruz Viewpoint, where we’ll enjoy the best panoramic views of the city, the Strait of Magellan, and the vast Patagonian landscape. This spot is perfect for capturing memorable photos of your visit.
