  Mt. Aso

  Mount Aso, located in northeastern Kumamoto Prefecture, Kyushu, is a famous active volcano in Japan, boasting a caldera landscape rarely seen in the world. It is also one of the few attractions offering close-up views of an active volcano. Visitors can look down upon the crater from above, gazing at the plumes of white smoke rising from it, allowing their journey to experience the awe-inspiring power and spectacular beauty of nature.

  Kusasenrigahama

  Aso-san Grassland is a vast grassland located at the northern foot of Mount Eboshi. In the center of the grassland is a pool formed by rainwater, and cattle and horses graze freely. Throughout the year, you can see various different scenes. Strolling leisurely across this 20,000-hectare expanse of green grassland, watching the free-roaming cattle and sheep, and breathing in the fresh mountain air will refresh your mind and give you the illusion of being in a fairyland.

  Takachiho Gorge

  Takachiho Gorge is a canyon located in Takachiho Town, Nishiusuki District, Miyazaki Prefecture. The Gose River flows through it, and the gorge stretches for 7km with an average drop of 80m in its cliffs. The magnificent natural scenery is Takachiho Gorge's most prominent feature, making it a truly captivating place to experience the grandeur of nature. The spectacular scenery, created by lava flows from the eruption of Mount Aso and eroded by the Gose River over tens of thousands of years, exudes a mysterious atmosphere. Here, you can enjoy a boat ride to admire the Manai Falls, experiencing the beauty and grandeur of nature; stroll along the walking trails to appreciate unique landscapes such as the Giant Rock and the Sacred Bridge; and watch the Takachiho Kagura performance, immersing yourself in Japanese culture and mythology.
