The Baywalk in Puerto Princesa is facing the Puerto Princesa Bay and is part of the tourist destination in the City. It is a place being frequented by the locals especially in the morning where they do their morning walks, exercises and jogging while enjoying the view of the bay facing the nearby mountains. In the afternoon, most restaurants and souvenir shops are open for locals and foreign guests. It is a good place to unwind.
The historical Plaza Cuartel is a restored ruin of an old garrison camp where Japanese soldiers burned down around 150 American prisoners of war in a tunnel found underneath the parks portal. Rancho Mitra, popularly known as Mitra's Ranch can be found on a hilltop with a view of Honda Bay, facing Sulu Sea. It used to be a house of the former Politician until they open it to the public. Visitors can enjoy the open space and the laid back atmosphere, and the distinctive structure of the main house, designed like a chalet.
Also known as the Crocodile Farm and Nature Park, is a popular destination in the City. It is a breeding place for Philippine crocodiles and home to some endangered animals. Tourist can pet and cuddle baby crocodiles. It is a facility that works to conserve the two endangered species of crocodiles found in the Philippines, the saltwater crocodile and the endemic freshwater crocodile. You will get to know facts about these species of reptiles, the only known survivor of the Dinosaur age.
