Lets go back in time and visit one of the most historical cities in Portugal. South of Lisbon we can find Evora in the middle of the rolling hills of Alentejo where Olive and Cork trees are part of the scenery.
This region has in cork one of its main productions, we invite you to see and learn about all the uses this material can have. Afterwards we will follow up to Évora and visit one of its most enigmatic structures. The São Francisco church and the bone chapel awaken the curiosity of its visitors. We will have a lunch break around this area and invite you to walk through some of the main streets, where Giraldo Square is part of the route.
We will continue walking until we reach the Roman Temple of Evora, once called Temple of Diana but without any factual proof that could connect it to the roman Goddess of hunt. Besides it lies the Cathedral, a main Gothic body housing part of the Portuguese treasure collection.
