You will meet your guide at the reception area right next to the official parking lot of the Monteverde Biological Reserve—located five minutes from the trailhead—and then proceed together to begin the hike on your chosen trail.

During this guided wildlife tour in the Monteverde Cloud Forest, you will explore an extraordinary protected area that preserves over 5,000 hectares of tropical cloud forest—one of the most biodiverse ecosystems on the planet. This unique environment is home to numerous species endemic and native to the Monteverde mountains. As you walk along trails surrounded by lush vegetation, you will have the opportunity to observe tropical birds, insects, epiphytes, and orchids—and, with a bit of luck, some mammals. Your naturalist guide will share insights into the cloud forest's ecology, the importance of its conservation, and the interactions between species.
