It is a charming bay of the Beagle Canal, where forests, mountains and sea meet. Lapataia Bay is home to the last mile of the Pan American Highway, also known as National Highway #3, which extends from Alaska to the far south of this national park, symbolizing the arrival at the End of the World.
Also known as Glacial Lake Acigami (Roca), it is one of the most unforgettable postcards in Tierra del Fuego. We will walk along its shores, from where you can observe directly the political division of the island, as the meridian that separates us from neighboring Chile, passes just opposite.
In Ensenada Zaratiegui Bay, you can admire this combination of landscapes that makes this national park unique: the Andes, the forest and the sea in one place. There is also the famous End of the World Post Office where, if it is open, you can have your passport stamped or send a postcard from the End of the World.
We arrive at the End of the World station, where you can choose, as an option, to make the journey on board the former Prisoner Train, now transformed into a tourist train retracing part of the history of Ushuaia’s origins.
***IMPORTANT*** During the winter season, the itinerary of the excursion is modified due to the closure of Ensenada Bay and some Park trails due to snow.
