  Uchisar Castle

  Since the Roman period, it has been carved into many rooms, houses, shelters, depots, cisterns, tombs, and cellars, and has been an important defense point against Arab raids. It has large stone cannonballs used for defense against attackers. Uçhisar Castle, which was used both as a watchtower and a defense castle, maintained its importance during the Seljuk and Principality periods.   Fairy Chimneys

  Paşabağı Valley is known as an area where Cappadocia's most unique fairy chimney formations are located. Fairy chimneys are formed as a result of wind and water erosion of soft volcanic rocks called tuff. One of the most distinctive features of the fairy chimneys in Paşabağı is their wide "mushroom-shaped" top. This image attracts the most attention from visitors to the region.
