What to expect

Located along the Takase River in the heart of historic Kyoto, Gojo, this traditional townhouse offers an opportunity to experience Japan’s traditional culture through calligraphy.

As the saying goes, “Calligraphy reflects the person,” each stroke of the brush reveals your inner emotions at that moment.
In this workshop, our instructor certified in yoga and pilates will guide you through a meditation session at the start, allowing you to enhance your concentration and experience the tranquil beauty of calligraphy.
Through calligraphy, you’ll have the opportunity to reflect on yourself and express your current emotions in written form.

Whether you are a beginner or have some experience, all are welcome!

By the end of the workshop, we hope you’ll feel refreshed by the experience. We would be happy if you could also feel the depth of it.
