Torrevieja Costa Blanca rental Ebikes 1 day

3 hours (approximately)

Renting an electric bike in Torrevieja is probably one of the smartest decisions to get to know the city and its surroundings. Although the terrain is mostly flat, there are several factors specific to the area that make the difference.
Here are the main advantages:
1. Beating the wind of the rising
Torrevieja is a coastal city where the wind is a constant factor. On routes along the Levant levee or along the coves to the north, you may encounter streaks that would make the return very heavy on a conventional bike. With the e-bike, the motor compensates for that resistance without losing pace.
2. Access to restricted areas (and no parking)
Parking in the centre of Torrevieja or near popular beaches such as La Mata in high season can be a nightmare.
Total freedom: With the e-bike you reach the same arena or even the bird observatories of the Pink Lagoon where cars cannot enter.

What to expect

Torrevieja is an ideal destination for touring by electric bike thanks to its mostly flat terrain and unique natural landscapes. One of the most complete and popular routes combines the famous Greenway with the surroundings of salt lagoons.
Here is a description of the
Route of the Lagoons and the Coast (Circular)
Difficulty : Easy (Ideal for e-bike)
Estimated duration: 2 : 30 to 3 hours.
Key points: Via Verde, Laguna Rosa, La Mata Natural Park and Littoral.
1. Home : Port and Greenway
The route can start in the immediate vicinity of the marina salinas From here, you head towards the Park of the Station, where the Greenway of Torrevieja begins. This old railway route is perfectly paved and allows you to leave the city centre safely and without traffic.
2. The Pink Lagoon Show
Following the Greenway, you will reach the trails that border the Pink Lagoon of Torrevieja. With the assistance of your e-bike, you can travel the dirt roads that surround this natural phenomenon. It’s the perfect place to stop and observe the pink color of the water and hopefully spot flamingos.
3. Natural Park of the Lagoons of La Mata
From the Torrevieja lagoon, you can connect with the Lagunas de La Mata and Torrevieja Natural Park. I suggest stopping by the Interpretation Center to get to know the local flora and fauna. The trails here run between pines and vineyards (where the grapes are grown for local wine).
4. Return along the coast
To close the circle, head towards the hamlet of La Mata, passing by the historic Tower of La Mata. The return to the center is made bordering the coast, allowing you to enjoy the views of cliffs and picturesque coves such as Cala de la Higuera and Cala de la Zorra.
