After about an hour and a half on the road from Marrakech, we’ll take a relaxing break in the small town of Chichaoua. This stop is the perfect opportunity to stretch your legs, enjoy a refreshing glass of Moroccan mint tea or a coffee in a local café, and use the restroom before continuing the journey. It’s a chance to experience the laid-back atmosphere of a typical Moroccan town, meet locals going about their daily life, and recharge for the scenic drive toward the Atlantic coast

On the way to Essaouira, we’ll pause in the village of Sidi L’Mokhtar, an area famous for its argan trees. Here, travelers may have the chance to witness one of Morocco’s most unique sights — goats climbing the branches of the argan trees in search of fruit. Since the goats are not always present, it depends on the season and their grazing patterns. If we spot them near the roadside, we’ll stop for photos. If not, we’ll continue our journey, enjoying the scenic landscapes of the Moroccan countryside

Around 11 AM, we’ll arrive in Ounagha, home to one of the largest women’s cooperatives for argan oil production. Here you’ll discover the fascinating process of how local Berber women handcraft Morocco’s “liquid gold” using traditional methods passed down for generations. Learn how the nuts are cracked, ground, and pressed to produce pure argan oil and other natural products such as cosmetics and culinary oils. It’s a cultural experience that supports local communities and empowers women in the region
