What to expect

Kyoto Shibori Bikyo's works have been exhibited at overseas exhibitions and trade fairs (Maison & Objet in France, Ambiente in Germany, HOMI in Italy, NY NOW in the U.S., etc.) and received high acclaim.
Please come to the showroom to enjoy the beauty of tie-dyeing, which is highly appreciated in Japan, Europe, and the United States, and the variety of products created with reliable techniques.

You will experience Mini Bag production with profesional craftsmen (traditional artisans).

-Designing (pattern making)
While there are still around 50 different shibori techniques, we will dye and complete a Mini Bag using the “Kyo Kanoko Shibori” technique.
You can choose the placement of the shibori on your fabric yourself.

-Shibori and Dyeing
Using the Kyo Kanoko Shibori technique, the fabric is tied and prepared for processing.
The color is chosen and dyed using dyes until the desired color is obtained.

-Finishing
Remove the board and let the fabric dry. Take your mini bag home.

Also, please enjoy a cup of tea and listen to a talk by a craftsman (traditional artisan) about “Kyo Kanoko Shibori” and tie-dyeing.
