    Villa Borghese Gardens

Inside the gardens of Villa Borghese skip the line and take a rowing boat on the Villa Borghese pond (lasting 20 minutes) rowing at your own pace and independently. A perfect combination of art, history and nature. Surrounded by lush greenery and mature trees, you'll get lovely views of the park, with the Temple of Aesculapius reflecting off the still waters, creating an almost timeless atmosphere. One of the highlights is this neoclassical temple, located on a small island in the middle of the lake, built between 1785 and 1792. Dedicated to the god of medicine, Aesculapius, the temple is surrounded by dense vegetation that enhances its majesty. Its neoclassical lines, the reflection in the water and the tranquility of the lake make it one of the most photographed and admired places of Villa Borghese.
