Self Kitsuke Experience at West side of Tokyo

Only 1 train ride from Shinjuku!
You can enjoy kimono as a preview of sightseeing in Tokyo.
If you come early, you can explore the west side of Tokyo (for example, Takahata-fudouson Kongoji Temple, Mt. Takao, etc.) after this lesson.

All the kimonos in my collection were hand-picked and purchased by me. Some items were donated by friends, and they all have history and weren’t mass-produced.
Not all but many kimonos are made of silk. I want you to feel the texture of Japanese silk.

This cultural experience will take place at my house in a traditional tatami room.
And we also have tea with Japan sweets.

Welcome to the Self Kimono Dressing Experience!

This experience is for anyone who would like to learn more about kimono and try wearing an authentic kimono by themselves.

I will prepare a selection of kimonos and accessories based on your height and body type.
On the day of your lesson, you can choose the kimono you would like to wear.

During the experience, I will explain the meaning and features of the kimono, so you will understand what you are wearing and how to wear it properly.

For preparation, please let me know your height (in centimeters) when you make your reservation.

On the day of the lesson, please wear or bring:
• a tank top
• long shorts or knee-length leggings

This lesson is for women and girls only.
