Wat Chalong is a historical landmark and Buddhist temple in Phuket’s Chalong Bay. It’s officially called Wat Chaitararam, but most people refer to it by Wat Chalong. Many locals claim that the temple often experiences many miracles. It’s also known for its pivotal and healing role in the fighting between Chinese secret societies in 1876.
Rang Hill Viewpoint (Khao Rang), one of the most famous viewpoints of Phuket with breathtaking panoramic views of the south of the island and some of the small offshore islands. You can also spot the Big Buddha in the distance. It’s surrounded by lush greenery, making it a very peaceful and natural spot. There is also a centennial commemorative building and monument at the peak, which was constructed in homage to Phraya Ratsadanupradit (Korsimby Na Ranong), the former governor who brought on many positive social and economic changes across the province.
