The workshop takes place in the former brewery, Werkraum Warteck pp, where artists, cultural workers, craftsmen, restaurateurs and creatives are based. The hand printing studio, druckwerk print and art, has existed there since 1995.

Ideal for travellers who enjoy hands-on, creative activities that have a link to the cultural history of the city of Basel

You will receive personalised attention & instruction in relief and letterpress printing techniques

You will be guided in realising your own design, with plenty of reference material on hand for inspiration

You will have the opportunity to select & mix colours

What to expect

Print your own personal postcards in a printmaking atelier located in Basel's liveliest contemporary cultural hub. Feel a part of Basel's 500 year plus printmaking history as you are guided by a local artist to use analogue printmaking techniques to produce your own unique memento. You will leave this private, hands-on workshop with your individual set of postcards to send out to friends and family or treasure as a souvenir. For ages 12 years and above, no experience required.
