- A dress code is required to enter places of worship and selected museums. No shorts or sleeveless tops allowed. Knees and shoulders MUST be covered for both men and women. You may risk refused entry if you fail to comply with these dress requirements

- Saturday, January 3, January 9, 2026 The Sistine Chapel will close to the public from 2:00 PM, with last entrance at 1:00 PM. Saturday, January 10, 2026 The Sistine Chapel will close to the public from 12:00 PM, with last entrance at 11:00 AM.
- Name on the ticket: All entrance tickets must be purchased in the name of the visitor. It is mandatory to ensure that the name entered during the booking process matches the visitor's identification. Regardless of the purchaser, the ticket must be in the visitor's name to be valid for entry.
- Security: Visitors must pass through airport-style security. The wait at the security checkpoint can last more than 30 minutes, depending on Vatican security.
- We inform you that from January 12 to March 31, extraordinary maintenance work will take place on Michelangelo’s Last Judgment in the Sistine Chapel. For this reason, scaffolding will be installed and will cover the entire wall during this period.
