coconut basket boat ride why have they become such popular activities for tourists. normally local fishermen in Hoi An have used Vietnamese basket boats handcrafted from bamboo and coated with resin to make them waterproof used them to catch fish along the Thu Bon River maritime trade and local livelihoods. and this tour will give you experience of riding on one of these boats along the ancient Thu Bon River. tour begins slowly and pleasantly along the Thu Bon River, the main artery flowing through Hoi An and once an important trade route. it’s take about 35-50 minute tour is quite relaxing – with the Vietnamese rower taking you down the river through a dense coconut grove – you'll eventually emerge from the forest, and that's when things seem to get more lively than ever.and then everything became chaotic, with spinning wheels, screams, and loud music! An important part of the experience is witnessing (or participating in )in the vibrant basket boat dances, performed by the locals.
