    Mercado de Loule

Visit Loulé Market, one of the most emblematic covered markets in the Algarve, known for its Moorish-inspired architecture, vibrant atmosphere and local character. Located in the heart of Loulé, it is a meeting point for locals and visitors, with fresh produce, fish, regional products, traditional sweets and local crafts. Guests can explore at a relaxed pace, discover Algarve flavours, take photos and experience everyday life in a traditional Portuguese town. On some days, the area around the market may be livelier, with local producers and artisans outdoors. Please note : on public holidays, Loulé Market may be closed or have limited opening hours. This depends on the market management and is outside our control. If this happens, the guide will adapt the stop to offer the best possible local experience in Loulé.

Drive through the centre of Salir, a traditional inland village that shows a quieter side of the Algarve. As we pass through, the guide will point out typical Algarvian houses, narrow streets, small traditional doors and details of village life. This short passage helps guests understand how local communities have changed over time, with services and daily life still present in small countryside villages. Alto do Malhão (537 m)

Stop at Alto do Malhão, a peaceful viewpoint in the Serra do Caldeirão, where guests can enjoy panoramic views over the inland Algarve and feel the contrast between the quiet countryside and the busy coastline. Nearby, visit a beautiful Buddhist stupa, an unexpected and symbolic place of calm, reflection and harmony in the hills of Loulé. The guide will share the meaning of the Menu publisher and its connection with nature and inner peace. This stop also includes a small regional tasting at a traditional countryside café — a simple and authentic moment to experience local Algarve flavours before continuing the journey.

    Alte

Stop in Alte, one of the most charming inland villages in the Algarve, known for its whitewashed houses, narrow streets, natural springs and peaceful village atmosphere. Before lunch, visit Vicario Waterfall, a natural spot near the village where guests can enjoy the scenery, take photos and relax. Access to the waterfall involves a wooden staircase, so good leg mobility and comfortable shoes are recommended. In warmer months, there may be time for a refreshing swim, depending on weather and local conditions. After the waterfall, we stop in the village of Alte for lunch. Guests are free to choose where to eat. Those who wish to follow the guide can have lunch at a local restaurant selected by the guide for a simple and authentic Algarve experience. Lunch is not included in the tour price. After lunch, enjoy a short relaxed walk through the village, crossing Alte on foot before returning to the van and continuing to the next stop.
