Who would have imagined that such a light-hearted and fun-loving place as Waikiki could have such a troubled past? Restless spirits tell terrible tales. Headless victims of human sacrifice skulk in the shadows of Kapiolani Park. Torch-lit processions of Night Marchers wend their way up the beach to the temple of human sacrifice at Diamond Head. A construction worker is struck by a skull sent flying in a freakish windstorm. Hotel suites replete with ghosts and growling noises. All this and more awaits you in our sojourn to the Dark Side of Waikiki.
We'll meet at 7:45 PM at the Kapaemahu Stones of Life (aka The Wizard Stones), located next to the Waikiki Beach Police Station. I'm the big guy with the walking stick and lantern. The tour departs at 8:00.
The tour ends at the Kahi Ha'ili Aloha Memorial in Kapiolani Park.
The Kapaemahu Stones of Life (aka the Wizard Stones), which four wizards from Tahiti in the 1400s suffused with their healing energies. A locus of positive energy to begin with before beginning our dalliance with the Dark Side!
You'll learn about the ghost stories of some of Waikiki's most famous hotels: the Royal Hawaiian, the Moana Surfrider, the Princess Kaiulani, and Epacio... and the resident ghost of Waikiki's only church.
Kapiolani Park is ground-zero for the ghosts. You'll learn about the Night Marchers and the gruesome ghost victims of human sacrifice that roam the park.
