Our morning begins at Tenuta La Chiusa, a breathtaking estate nestled among historic vineyards and olive trees, offering stunning views of the Gulf of Portoferraio. With roots dating back to the 16th century, this enchanting winery has been producing Elba’s finest wines for generations and even hosted Napoleon Bonaparte. You'll indulge in a curated tasting of three dry wines, an exclusive local dessert wine, and a selection of regional treats, immersing yourself in the timeless flavors of Elba.
Perched on a scenic cliff overlooking the sea, Villa dei Mulini was Napoleon Bonaparte’s official residence during his exile on Elba. This elegant yet modest villa, nestled between two ancient windmills, reflects both the emperor’s refined taste and strategic vision. Inside, you’ll find period furnishings, Napoleon’s personal library, and breathtaking views of the gardens. Visiting schedules may vary; depending on the day, we might instead explore Villa San Martino, his lavish summer retreat set in a tranquil valley. Unlike the simplicity of Villa dei Mulini, this residence is a masterpiece of neoclassical architecture, boasting majestic halls, intricate frescoes, and the iconic Egyptian Room. Surrounded by nature, it embodies Napoleon’s longing for both solitude and grandeur.
Considered the “Portofino of Elba,” Porto Azzurro is widely regarded as the island’s most cherished town. In 1600, the town fell under Spanish dominion, and by 1603, King Philip III had erected a formidable fortress that still dominates the skyline. Immerse yourself in this coastal gem where history and modern vibrancy blend seamlessly. Wander through quaint alleys adorned with historic architecture, explore bustling waterfronts filled with artisan shops and delightful eateries, and savor culinary treasures amid breathtaking views. As part of our visit, we’ll also explore a unique shop offering a wide variety of minerals, gems, and jewelry, along with an extensive selection of books and magazines on geology and mineralogy. Every corner exudes timeless Mediterranean charm, inviting you to create unforgettable memories.
Capoliveri is a captivating town where medieval charm meets modern vibrancy. Perched on a hill, this magnificent town boasts some of the island’s most beautiful beaches at its base. Stroll through its narrow, enchanting streets where old cellars and stables have been transformed into chic bistros, piano bars, and artisanal boutiques—all while preserving the original architecture. The small main square, filled with cafés and restaurants, features a scenic overlook with stunning views of Montecristo and Pianosa.
