Please book your class in advance or make an appointment before coming. The location may vary depending on availability, and the workshop might be held in a nearby café in Nusa Dua, Sukawati, Sanur, or Ubud. We’ll confirm the exact spot upon booking to ensure the best experience for you!

What to expect

We will be seated around a table for 1.5 to 2.5 hours, depending on how fast things go with the process. We will begin with a demonstration of the skills involved, and then you will have a chance to do it yourself.

1. Choose a piece of artwork to use for your batik painting, and then trace it onto cloth using a pencil

2. Paint melted wax onto the cloth, following the pencil lines you traced

3. Paint colors onto the cloth

4. Apply a liquid to fix the colors on the cloth

5. The remainder of the process you will do at least 24 hours later at home. I will give you a handout with instructions for that part

This may sound like a lot, but it’s going to be a lot of fun!! ;)
