Continue to the legendary Loch Ness, catching views of the lake and visiting the dramatic ruins of Urquhart Castle, perched on its shore. Take time to explore the castle and enjoy the stunning scenery—perfect for photos. If time permits, stop in Inverness for a stroll or a quick snack.
After a memorable day in the Highlands, return to Invergordon and your cruise ship. Distillery entrance is included; castle entry is optional and costs approx. £14–£16 per person, bookable separately.

Your guide will meet you at the port, and your Invergordon shore excursion begins. Relax in your vehicle as you drive through the tranquil port city toward historic Cawdor Castle. Dating back to the 14th century, the castle impresses with its fairytale architecture and gardens and is famously linked to Shakespeare’s “Macbeth.” Continue to a traditional whisky distillery, where you’ll learn about Scotland’s national drink and enjoy a tasting (note: under-18s may not participate).
