AN EXTRAORDINARY GARDEN
On the edge of a Champagne-producing village, this 14th-century house (originally a water mill) opens onto a unique garden. Walk barefoot by the waterfall, explore a mysterious tower, collect fossils in the stream bed and admire Guilhem’s collection of ancient coins he found himself. Your hosts offer a warm welcome and will give you a souvenir photo taken in front of the waterfall. In fall/winter or bad weather, try your hand at making crêpes.

Enjoy an aperitif with Champagne and appetizers, then savor a generous homemade French dinner: three courses, cheese, and coffee — all shared with your warm and welcoming hosts. Guilhem speaks English 7/10.

If you choose the "Round trip private driver" option, please select your hotel, airbnb, or
preferred location address for pick up. We will send our driver to pick you up and drive you back. Mid-range car (2-3 people groups), or van (4-6 people groups).

- You can either choose the "Transportation included" option (pick up at your hotel by our driver, mid-range car or van), OR get there by your own means. The precise address in the village of Charly-sur-Marne will be provided after booking: 1. Use UBER or UBER RESERVE (up to 90 days in advance) to book your ride there and back (expect 130 euros one way for 4 people). If you do not book, you might not be able to find any available UBER driver nearby. 2. RENT A CAR: expect 150 euros for a mid-range car for 2 days.
- The romantic option - TAKE A DIRECT LOCAL TRAIN from Paris (49 min): At Gare de l'Est (Paris East railway station), buy a RER ticket valid up to Nanteuil-Saâcy station, 2.5 euros, direct train. Ideally, buy round-trip tickets. No need to buy in advance. Suggested departures: 9:17am or 9:49am (every day). At Nanteuil-Saâcy station, call a Uber or taxi (about 10+ euros, 10 min drive to your hosts' place).
