With no prior experience needed, you’ll learn the repair technique with guidance from an instructor while connecting with Japanese craftsmanship and the idea of finding beauty in imperfections. The session lasts roughly two hours.

Meeting and pickup
No parking is available. Please use a nearby paid parking lot if you are driving. Please come to the meeting point at 2-16-6, Maejima, Naha, Okinawa. You will find a sign that says ‘Urushi Studio Kodemari.
What to expect
This class incorporates traditional Kintsugi techniques but is a shortened version that anyone can easily enjoy. You will have the unique experience of breathing new life into a broken piece of pottery.
However, since the work created in this experience is a simplified version, it cannot be used for eating or drinking, but it is perfect as interior art that you can enjoy as a decoration or an accessory tray. The pottery that you restored and designed yourself will become a special one-of-a-kind item, and by displaying it in your home or office, it will become a wonderful art piece that will decorate your space!
