This shore excursion is carefully designed for cruise travelers who want to experience the true contrast of Namibia in a single well paced day from the Atlantic coastline to the heart of the Namib Desert.
Unlike rushed group tours, this experience is locally operated and guide led by Namibians who know the land intimately. The journey follows scenic back roads through the Moon Landscape and ancient Welwitschia plains, includes a relaxed lunch at the historic Goanikontes Oasis, and returns via Swakopmund’s coastal wetlands and palm lined avenues.
Our tours are unhurried, educational, and personal, combining natural beauty, history, and storytelling rather than simply moving from stop to stop. Group sizes are kept comfortable, vehicles are air-conditioned, and every excursion is timed to your ship’s schedule, ensuring a safe and stress-free return to the harbour.
This is not just a sightseeing tour it is a curated coastal-to-desert journey, led with care, insight and pride in Namibia.

Travelers journey from the coast into the heart of the Namib Desert, passing through the striking Moon Landscape Valley and stopping to observe the ancient Welwitschia plants, some of the oldest living plants on Earth. At Goanikontes Oasis, guests enjoy a relaxed stop in this historic desert settlement, surrounded by rugged desert scenery and palm trees. A light lunch is served, and there is time to use the restroom facilities, stretch legs, and browse small local curios if available. Our accredited guide shares insights into the area’s geology, desert survival, and the history of Goanikontes as a former rest stop for early travelers crossing the Namib.
