With the opening of the Qinghai-Tibet Railway, Lhasa is no longer out of reach. Lhasa is not originally prosperous and crowded. Let us explore its mysterious charm together.

Upon arrival at Gonggar airport, the representative will receive you and drive to Lhasa. En-route, enjoy the spectacular highland view along with the Yarlong Tsangpo river (the longest river in Tibet and the river located at the highest point on earth with an average elevation of 4,000m) The river is originated from the melt of Jiemayangzong Glacier of the northern Himalayan range. Today is a rest day at Lhasa for acclimatization.

Lhasa city tour：Lhasa Traditional Handicraft Center→Sera Monastery(No debating on Sunday)

When you come to Lhasa, you can still experience traditional Tibetan handicrafts (Tibetan incense making, woodblock printing, and learning Tibetan). Go to the Tibetan Cultural Experience Center to learn how the refreshing Tibetan incense is made, and you can also participate in the production yourself, which is completely different from the meaning of purchased Tibetan incense. The knowledgeable teacher will introduce you to the origin of Tibetan and help you write Tibetan blessings or your own Tibetan name. At the same time, you can also experience traditional woodblock printing.

Lhasa→Yamdrok Lake→Xiazhulin Temple→Lhasa

Yamdrok Lake is amazing with its changing colors and turquoise water. The highway along the lake is the best place to enjoy the beautiful scenery. You can stop at different viewing platforms to take pictures and feel the tranquility and magnificence of the plateau lake.
