On this tour, you will visit Sanjusangendo temple and Fushimi Inari Shrine, and cycle by Toji temple and many local and historical streets.

This tour will be guided by Japanese young folk who has lived abroad and fluent in English. The guides enjoy meeting people from different countries and backgrounds, sharing Japanese culture, and learning about other cultures. Please enjoy spending time with them and learning about Japan through local perspectives.

    Sanjusangendo Temple

    We will walk through Sanjusangendo Temple, which is known for its impressive hall containing 1,001 statues of Kannon, the Buddhist goddess of mercy.

    Fushimi Inari-taisha Shrine

    Fushimi Inari Shrine is one of Kyoto’s most iconic shrines, famous for its thousands of vermilion torii gates. We will take about 30 minutes at the shrine to walk through.

    Toji Temple is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and home to Japan’s tallest wooden pagoda. We will not enter Toji temple, but have some time for photos.
