Please meet your guide at the meeting point, Ginza Inz 2, right across the street from Tokyo Hands. Take Ginza Station Exit C9 or JR Yurakucho Station Central Exit. Arrive at least 10 minutes before the departure time for the check-in
Your tour begins early with a comfortable, air-conditioned bus ride from Ginza. Along the way, you’ll enjoy scenic views as you travel towards the mountainous region of Nikko, known for its rich history and breathtaking natural landscapes.
Upon arrival in Nikko, we enjoyed a panoramic view of the iconic Shinkyo Bridge. Painted in bright red, this sacred bridge gracefully spans the Daiya River and is one of the most photographed landmarks in the area.
You’ll depart for the magnificent Toshogu Shrine, the lavish mausoleum of shogun Tokugawa Ieyasu—considered one of Japan’s most beautiful and ornately decorated shrines. Renowned for its vibrant colors and intricate carvings, the shrine features iconic symbols like the “Three Wise Monkeys” and the “Sleeping Cat.” You'll enjoy full access to explore the richly adorned inner areas of the shrine complex, including the five-story pagoda, while learning about the Tokugawa family’s lasting impact on Japanese history.
The tour continues to Kegon Falls, one of Japan's most spectacular waterfalls, located in Nikko National Park. You’ll arrive at the Kegon Falls area, after a 40 minute ride, and once there, you’ll have 1h 20 minutes free time to admire this 97-meter-high waterfall. You can walk to the observation deck or take an elevator to get closer to the base of the falls. This is also the perfect time to enjoy lunch at a nearby restaurant, where you can taste local specialties like yuba (tofu skin) or freshwater fish dishes. The tour heads to Lake Chuzenji, a serene mountain lake formed by volcanic activity from Mount Nantai. You’ll arrive at Lake Chuzenji, where you’ll have free time to stroll along the lakeside and take in the peaceful surroundings. The lake, with Mount Nantai towering in the background, offers stunning views and a tranquil atmosphere. This is a great spot to relax and soak in the natural beauty of the area before heading back to the city. (Please note: Due to weather conditions, during January and February, the visit to Kegon Falls and Lake Chuzenji will be replaced with a panoramic view of Rinnoji Temple and the Futarasan Shrine)
After enjoying the scenic beauty of Lake Chuzenji, you’ll board the van for the return trip to Tokyo. This is your chance to rest and reflect on the day’s adventures. You’ll return to Ginza, concluding a full day of cultural exploration, stunning natural scenery, and unforgettable experiences.
