What to expect

Join us in a 1 hour hands-on workshop in Tokyo’s Asakusa district and create your own personalized wooden chopsticks. Learn about the importance of chopsticks for Japanese people and take home a unique hand-crafted souvenir.
With step-by-step guidance from a friendly and fluent local host, you will get to shape the wood using professional tools, sand the surface into a perfect fit for your hands, and finish your chopsticks with an optional laser engraving to personalize your artwork. Take them home the very same day along with an experience that blends cultural discovery with creative making.
Our staff will take a commemorative photo with you and your loved ones with our beautiful view of Tokyo Skytree and the city of Asakusa.
Everyone is welcome to join this workshop. Whether you join with family, friends, or on your own, this unique Asakusa experience offers both a one-of-a-kind souvenir and a warm-hearted, cozy environment with friendly staff that you will remember as the highlight of your trip in Japan.
At Japan Guide Stars, we vow to make your experience in Japan as comfortable, memorable, and accommodating as possible. If there is anything we can do for you, please reach out.
